I hadn’t planned on going to Vanuatu. Or at least, not so soon. But the world after the Covid19 pandemic changed considerably. These changes included some countries being more open to Malaysians, while others became less so. Finding this out only after booking flight tickets to Australia brought Vanuatu right up to the top of my list.

I had no expectations going into Vanuatu, except for a place called Million Dollar Point, a dumping ground for World War 2 military equipment that I just had to see. But it was also my first visit anywhere in Melanesia, and though I only spent a couple of weeks there, I returned with many things to write about.
